Siliver Hallmark?- Need help
Has anyone ever heard of a company called, K. & F. Shonback Silver Smelters out of San Francisco, CA.
I did a google search and nothing popped up. I'm looking at 3 Kilos of silver bars with their trademark on it which consists of a K. & F. S. inside a triangle. The bars are also stamped 99.9% Fine Silver My question is, did they or do they have a reputation for correctly assaying their ingots? Could not find a phone number either. I'm thinking they may be out of business. |

Probably one of the many small refineries that sprang up in the 80's. Down and dirty test would be to torch melt a small drilling sample with no flux. If it comes back bright, you should be OK.
